Momodou Sabally spoke through a message addressed to President Jammeh where he condemned the botched December 30 attack on the presidential compound by Gambian dissidents from Germany, the United States and Senegal.
He said: “I write to condemn the terror attack on State House, an event detested by all well-meaning Gambians. This country is well known for her peace and tranquillity and, hence, it is a beckoning oasis of calm and security in a volatile sub region. That is why Your Excellency’s efforts to maintain the stability and security of this country are appreciated by Gambians and non-Gambians alike. May the Almighty Allah continue to guide and protect Your Excellency and the entire nation as we continue to cherish our peace and our shared journey to greater socio-economic progress.
Sabally who was also minister for presidential affairs and higher education, lauded Jammeh’s commitment towards the eradication of hunger, giving him a thumbs up on the FAO award.]]>
