Last year the former GFF leadership of Mustapha Kebbeh announced Fifa has approved funding to repair the facility often referred to as the Goal project. However, the contract was never signed due to upheavals in Gambian football. After the dust settled, Fifa still kept their word but demanded that a reputed and standard consultant be engaged to open fresh bidding for the work which will culminate in the January 29 signing.
