Former athlete, Sports director Sait Mbye passes away

He died late Thursday night. In his tribute to the late distinguished sportsman Gambia athletics president, Dodou Joof, said Sait was passionate about sports. “We at the GAA are deeply saddened about the loss of a great and dedicated man of sports whose contribution to Gambian sports is immeasurable,” Joof said.

Sait Mbye also served in various bodies such as the award committee of the Gambia National Olympic Committee, GNOC, which inducted him into the hall of fame for his contribution to sports.
