The Gambia Volleyball Federation is preparing to make their maiden appearance at the African Youth Games this July in Algiers, Algeria
The GVBF is preparing to send two teams in indoor and beach to the Games. Following the selection of the indoor boys team, the federation had also called two young players in Fatoumatta Sillah of Brikama and Mariama Ginadou of Interior to a training camp at a local beach.
The team is currently managed by Pa Babucarr Barrow, assisted by Gambian internationals Amadou Jarju, and beach volleyball queens Sainabou Tambedou and Abie Kujabie.
The Gambian team is drawn from the players of the African Dream Projects Centers.
