World football governing body Fifa has urged the National Sports Council to halt its decision to investigate the GFF by Monday or the matter will be reported to higher offices which could attract sanctions such as suspension of The Gambia.
Fifa’s message was conveyed to the Gambia Football Federation who was asked by the world body to share the information with the Minster of Youth and Sports Henry Gomez whom they said could be reached on the matter.
The NSC and the GFF have been at loggerheads after the former announced it has suspended the executive of the GFF who vowed not to move or recognize any such acts.
