Gambia puts Wafu title defence back on track

After beating Liberia 1-0 to complete the two scheduled matches in this three-team Group B matches, The Gambia is good enough to advance to the semifinals of the Wafu- U20 championship currently in Guinea, with 4 points.

The semifinals will be played on December 4, but this evening the Young Scorpions will take time to watch the last group matches in Group A to find out their semifinal opponent.
The Gambia won the title in 2018 in Monrovia with the same coach Matarr Mboge who has vowed to retain the title .

“Our primary goal apart from winning the cup again, is to develop these young potentials and prepare them for a senior call up and become professionals .We tried all formations but our message has always been to play forward and score goals”, Mboge told GFF media.
