The nationwide talent hunt initiated by G-tech football academy in collaboration with The Gambia Football Federation has reached its climax with finals starting from Saturday to the 20th May.
Over the last six months G-Tech toured the entire country with coaches to scout young talents of between 15 and 22 years for a mega talent show expected to be graced by international football scouts.
The tour took them to six regions with unprecedented success in terms of popularity and acceptance by the local community.
From this Saturday the dozens of players who made the final list will meet on a bigger platform at the GFF technical center and other places for the final selection.
The selected players from all the regions are 95% Gambians with only 5% of them mixed nationalities from West Africa. ‘Our purpose is to expose these players to the outside world of football so that they can one day raise up the Gambia, flag worldwide said Ken Arausi, Director and founder of G-techAcademy.
The programme has a strong collaboration with national television GRTS where sponsors would have the opportunity to have their products and services shown. ”Gambega and Coco Cola are such examples who have already come onboard,” said Arausi.
