Yesterday the Normalisation Committee issued a statement announcing the opening of nominations for the position of president beginning August 20, and closing on August 27.The NC also set the new date for the elections at September 20, adding that it shall serve as the electoral board of the said elections.
According to the NC statement quoting Article 41.3 of the GFF Constitution,“Only members of the GFF may propose candidates for the office of the president. Members shall notify the general secretary in writing of the names of candidate for the presidency of the GFF at least one month before the date of the general assembly.”
The NC concluded by urging all members to cooperate with the NC to have a successful process to the elections.
