The Standard has reliably learnt that in the Inspector General of Poilce will today appear before the National Assembly select committee on sports on matters relating to an alleged tax fraud by the GFF.
The allegation was made by the National Sports Council who accused the GFF of defrauding the nation by failing to pay a withholding tax of about a million dalasis to the GRA.
The NSC referred the matter to the Police who promised to investigate but has not done so since prompting the Select committee to summon the IGP on the matter.
The GFF has maintained it has not done anything wrong refusing to be investigated by the NSC whose chairman GFF said is on a witch-hunting mission against them.
