No date set for President Barrow’s return

By Alagie Manneh President Adama Barrow is working with Ecowas in preparing his return, according to spokesman Halifa Sallah. Mr Barrow was widely rumoured to have been heading home yesterday but Mr Sallah said the President will come as soon as all logistics are completed. Mr Sallah who was addressing a press conference at the Kairaba Beah Hotel also said President Barrow is aware of the questions asked about the age of Vice President Fatoumata Tambajang but did not give more details. He however said there is a strong suggestion that vetting committee would be in place to scrutinise those nominated for positions in the cabinet. The new Vice president is said to have passed the age allowed to hold the position according to the constitution.]]>
