Helda Grube, a German national through his foundation Remise Health Centre, has donated 100 bags of 25kg rice and 100 gallons of 5lr cooking oil to the villagers of Darsilami.
Grube has been very supportive to the vIllagers of Darsilami over years. Apart from the recent donation, he has also built a health center for the village.
The donated food items were received on behalf of the villagers by Musa Tabally Bojang, the village Alkalo.
Speaking shortly after receiving the donation, Bojang said Grube has been doing a tremendous job for the community of Darsilami and its surrounding villages.
He said the donated rice and cooking oil will significantly help the villagers especially during this difficult time of Covid-19.
“The existence of the hospital has also impacted so many lives in Darsilami and beyond. Many villages in our surroundings visit this hospital for medical assistance,” he said.
Fakebba Jatta, a board member of the remise health center, thanked Grube for coming to the aid of the villagers at a very crucial time.
“We as a community, are very proud and honored in receiving such help in these trying times,” Jatta said
Also speaking, Musu Kebba Jarju, a beneficiary, said they are very happy to receive such a benovalent gesture from their German friend.
