Real de Banjul announced yesterday that it has added Slovakian club FC Kosice to its growing list of club partners.

FC Ko?ice, a club from the largest city in eastern Slovakia, currently plays in the 2. Liga, the second tier of Slovak football.

“This is another barrier we have broken in our club history. Slovakia is a market that we have had our eyes on after we sold Alieu Fadera there and since then, we had approaches from clubs that wanted to work with us but we felt we share the same idea and values as FC Kosice, so it was easy to partner with them,” Club President, William Abraham said.

“This partnership shows that as a club, we are always looking to expand and enter into different markets and we are happy that Slovakia now joins the country list of our partner clubs,” Abraham added.

FC Ko?ice are currently 5th on the Slovak second-tier league table and are in the semi-finals of the Slovak Cup after beating AS Tren?ín 3-0 to set-up a semi-final date with M?K ?ilina.

FC Kosice was founded in 2018 after they merged into one new club with FK Kosice-Barca. They play their football at the 10,000-capacity ?tadión Lokomotívy v Cermeli in Kosice. The partnership was facilitated by Gerald Valks of Bonbini Sports Consultancy.
