Accompanying them into the top flight is Serekunda United.
The teams played in a grueling ten-team second division league which officials described as the most successful and competitive. While it was expected that Seaview and Young Africans could make a comeback, it turned out that both have failed to make the two top finishing and would spent another year in the second tier, with a new companion, Steve Biko FC.
“The second division next season would most interesting. There will be three teams who will play a heck of competition for just two promotion places. If Biko wants its stay short in Division Two then it must be prepared for the likes of Seaview and Young Africans and even fellow relegated side Samger,” noted an official of the GFF yesterday.
Meanwhile Sait Matty and Blue Star have been relegated from this tier to the third division.
