Senegambia Novelty Run update

The 3rd meeting of the joint technical committee of the Senegambia Novelty Run for Integration took place in Dakar on Thursday 28 June. The meeting was attended by a delegation from Guinea Conakry and it confirmed the route for the road run and the arrangements for the Marathon.
The Novelty run will be held from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 January 2019 starting from Barra at 7am and first night stop in Kaolack, second night stop in Mbour and finishing on the third day at the centre of Dakar on Sunday at 5pm.

This event is expected to impact on the economic, touristic, cultural and sporting profiles of both The Gambia and Senegal and will the longest relay run in Africa.
The meeting also revealed that negotiations are on going for the event to be covered on Satellite TV.
The organisers invite companies to sponsor a team in this exciting and historic event.

A team will consist of 12 runners and one Manager and companies will pay the participation fee of their teams and provide their running wear. The organisers will be responsible for their accommodation, transportation, and refreshments and feeding from 19th to 23rd January. Athletes and officials will stay in the same hotels in Banjul, Kaolack, Mbour and Dakar. Tourists wanting to join the run on air condition luxury coaches will be lodged in the same hotels with the Athletes and will attend all events and programs organised for the athletes.
