Musa Suso, adviser to the 20- man conflict resolution committee set-up by the 330 Alkalolu of West Coast Region, over the weekend successfully resolved a potentially out-of-control dispute in Mayork village.
According to village sources, the dispute erupted following a controversial summon delivered by Imam Sering Darboe in which he accused the elders of brewing disunity in the village.
That summon, according to the villagers, was taken as an insult by senior community leaders who demanded for the Imam to be removed forthwith.

Speaking at the meeting, Imam Sering Darboe, who is at the center of the controversy said he was appointed to step in for his father who hasn’t been feeling well.send a message to the village elders to lead by example.
He apologised to the elders in front of the mediation team led by Musa Suso.
The conflict led to the villagers holding separate prayer congregations which continued even on Koriteh day.
Musa Suso, who was acting in his capacity as the adviser of the Alkalo association, called on the villagers to continue maintaining peace and unity within themselves and avoid politics dividing them.
Kharafa Kujabi, the alkalo of the village thanked Mr Suso and his delegation reassuring him that such things will not be repeated in the future.
Meanwhile, the village Women Kambeng Kafo, also used the opportunity to invite Musa Suso to be their adviser and adopted father.
