Turkish Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe have tabled a €3M bid for Gambia and KRC Genk defender Omar Colley, it has been revealed.
The 24-year-old, who joined Belgian side Genk last summer from Swedish club Djurgården IF, has been a reported target for teams around Europe with Fenerbahçe the latest to express their interest.
It is reported that the Istanbul club made an official offer for Colley but that offer was rebuffed as the Belgian club said it was below their valuation of the player.
Meanwhile, reports in Belgium also reveal that French Ligue 1 side Lille have joined in the fray though they are yet to meet Genk’s €5M asking price.
English Premier League clubs Southampton, Everton and Watford have all been linked with the former Wallidan, Real de Banjul and KuPS defender since he made the move to Belgium less than a year ago.
Fenerbahçe are one of the most successful teams in Turkey with 19 league titles and are 39 in the UEFA coefficient rankings.
Colley, who has two-years left on his contract, has made close to 50 appearances for Genk, scoring four goals in all competitions.
