The 2021 general voter registration will take place between 29th May and 11th July, the Independent Electoral Commission announced yesterday.
A statement from Election House said: “In accordance with Section 14 of the elections Act, the Independent Electoral Commission shall a general registration of voters from the 29th May of to 11th July 2021 between the hours of 8:am and 5pm each day.”
According to the commission, all claimants must at the time of the voter registration provide a birth certificate, Gambian passport, national identity card, a document certified by the district Seyfo or an alkalo or the village of birth of the applicant stating the applicant was born in the district or village.
“All claimants must have or will have to attain the age of eighteen years by 4th of December 2021, and not to be disqualified or disentitled from being registered or voting under any law,” the commission added.
