A court in Bundung has issued a bench warrant for one Ismaila Conteh accused of willful damage after he failed to appear in court on three consecutive times.
The court also ordered that his bail be revoked and that he should be arrested immediately and taken to Mile 2 prisons. Magistrate Fatoumatta Jallow made this decision following the prosecution’s submission that the accused bail be withdrawn as he was nowhere to be found, following inquiries about his whereabouts.
Mr Conteh is on trial on a single count of willful damage of property. He is accused of willfully and unlawfully breaking the wind screen of a motor vehicle valued at D5,000 belonging to one Papa Dan Forbs.
He denied any wrongdoing. The court has adjourned the matter to October 12 for continuation of the case. The police are expected to arrest the accused and take him to remand before the next adjourned date.
