Starting with the honorary life appointments of Alhaji OB Conateh as president and Alhaji Salifu Jaiteh as vice president, Bajo said these appointments were made by past football leaderships who must have recognised the invaluable contribution of these gentlemen to accord them those honours. “And since it is life, you don’t change that. What we did is merely confirming the appointments,” Bajo said.
He went on to explain that another co-opted member Bakary Jammeh, fit the bill in view of his invaluable contributions and services to Gambian football especially on the marketing of the Gambian game. Bajo then described Omar Sey who has been made advisor as the most-sought after personality in African football whose service to continental and national football is immense and immeasurable. On Major Musa Jammeh, Bajo said everyone knows the important role the major has played and continues to play in Gambian football. Bajo was also asked about the future of at least one member of the senior management staff but he offered not to make comments on such matters for now.
