President Adama Barrow has urged Gambian journalists to report accurately and remain impartial as his campaign for re-election in December starts.
Addressing journalists shortly before he was accompanied to the ferry terminal by thousands of NPP supporters, President Barrow said: “We urge the media to report accurately. We don’t want you to support anybody but just be accurate.”
The happy-looking President Barrow said the confidence in his camp is “very high”.
“I want the Gambian people to listen to us because we have a lot to offer. We believe we can do better than what we did in the past five years. We have learned enough to be able to do better if we are given a second mandate. We consider the last five years as a transition,” he said.
