The Gambia Under-20 youth team, the Young Scorpions on Saturday beat Casa Sports 1-0 to wrap up their preparations for the first leg of the preliminary round of the 2015 championship, which takes them to Monrovia this weekend. Again, it was talisman Madi Fatty who stole the show, slotting in the winner five minutes into the second half and it could have been more. GFF explains state of unpaid former staff’s social security

Laid-off former staff of the Gambia Football Association, GFF, would have their unpaid social security contributions paid, albeit gradually, said the first vice president of the now modeled Gambia Football federation, Buba 'Star' Janneh. Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Standard, Mr Janneh said the arrears accumulated over the years under the defunct GFA, but since the GFF came to power last August, all the salaries paid were accompanied by social security contributions of the employees....
