The Governor of Central Bank of The Gambia, Amadou Colley, has been sacked, impeccable sources confirmed to The Standard yesterday.
Unconfirmed reports said some of his senior staff have also been removed.
Governor Colley is believed to have been the longest to serve in the position under the former President Jammeh who was known for his frequent sacking of civil servants manning sensitive institutions. No official reasons have been given for the removal of the Governor.
