The Gambia Cycling Association is mobilising resources to send the national cycling team to Senegal for the prestigious international event Tour de Fleuve competition.
The event is scheduled to start from July 4 to 10 July. The Gambia intended to send a team of 6 cyclists and 2 officials. While the organizer, Velo Club will provide boarding and feeding, the Gambian team will have to provide transportation by air or land to the event. International events are very important and key to the professional development of cyclists and we therefore treasure this event and will like support from government , private individuals and entities to make it possible,” said Momodou Lamarana Bah, president of the Gambia Cycling Association. As part of the fund raising the cyclists are currently mounting their bikes warming up as well as engaging the public on the need for support towards their plan to participate in the Tour de Fleuve.
