The Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) has recently signed an MoU with top and first Gambian juice processing and marketing company Gam Juice located at Brusubi.
Under the MoU, Gam Juice has decided as its corporate responsibility to supply the hospital blood donors with a variety of Gambian juices derived from fruits, and processed in The Gambia.
Issac Thomas, co-director and founder of Gam Juice, said the move was motivated by his passion to contribute to the welfare of Gambians especially to encourage Gambians to donate blood to save lives.
“I think this is the surest way for Gam Juice to contribute to national development. The juice will go to the fridges of the hospital for onward transmission to blood monies and other donations and presentation that happen there,” said Issac Thomas. He called on other Gambian companies to follow suit.
The hospital management thanks Gam Juice for the gesture and called on others to follow their example.
