Saibou Mariam Hydara, a prominent member of the Gambian community in France has warned tycoon Abubacar Jawara of GACH that he will rue his decision to sue Momodou Sabally and others.

Last week Jawara’s lawyer asked Sabally, a prominent UDP surrogate, to apologise for associating his client with the recent cocaine seizure in Banjul.  Jawara further demanded that Sabally and the others apologise within a week or face litigation, a demand which the latter has rejected.

In an audio from his base in France shared with The Standard, Hydara, a Sarahule from URR stated: “I want to tell Abubacar Jawara that he is treading on a dangerous path and should he dare go ahead to sue Momodou Sabally, I know every secret about this and I will come out in a way that will shame him.  I swear to God that if he goes ahead with this threat to sue, he will only drive himself to shame.”

Hydara who claimed he is not a member of any political party, urged Mr Sabally to reach out to him so that he can give him material evidence that he could use to defend himself in court.

He said Banta Keita, the owner of the seized cocaine who is on the run is a French passport holder and was his neighbour in France. “I know him very well and I am determined and ready to take part in any case Jawara raised against Sabally. I want to tell Abubacar Jawara that he must realise that Momodou Sabally is a Baddibunka who have a scared relation with the Sarahule and it is therefore an abomination for him to falsely accused him.
