A Gambian referee Ebrima Jallow who was allegedly caught on video receiving 500 Dollars from undercover agents of Ghanaian Investigative journalist Anas has denied taking bribes. Jallow is among many refs and officials paid lots of money by the Anas’s agents before matches at the recent Wafu Zone B tournament in Ghana.
Among them is Ghana Football president and Caf vice President Kwesi Nyantankye. According to the BBC, the Gambian ref was contacted and he denied any wrongdoing. A senior official of the GFF when contacted said the Football House is aware of the sad development and the matter is being handled by the appropriate department of the game affected, after which the GFF will make a statement on the matter.
