Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has announced it has concluded a partnership agreement with Simlex, producers of The Gambia Biometric Identification Cards, to co-sponsor the 2018 edition of the GFF Super Nawettan.
This year’s community football jamboree is mainly sponsored by Football House with the GFF providing one set of jersey and D10,000:00 (Ten Thousand Dalasi) preparatory money for each of the 16 participating teams.
Simlex’s involvement in the competition will begin after the semifinal stages of the competition. They will provide four sets of jerseys to be worn by the two teams that will play the third and fourth place playoffs as well as the two finalists. They will also provide cash prizes and medals for the top three finishing teams with the winner receiving D200,000:00 (Two Hundred Thousand Dalasi), the runner up D100,000:00 (One Hundred Thousand Dalasi) and the third place team D50,000:00 (Fifty Thousand Dalasi). They will also provide a giant trophy for the winners.
The GFF further wishes to take this opportunity to thank Simlex for stepping in to co-partner in the sponsorship of the most watched domestic football competition in the country at a time when the partnership agreement with the previous sponsor has ended.
