The Kanifing Municipal Council has filed an application before the High Court to quash the setting up of a commission of inquiry by the Minister of Local Government and Land, judicial sources confirmed to The Standard.
The suit amongst others is seeking the High Court to quash the said commission and declare it null and void.

It could be recalled that the local government minister, Musa Drammeh set up a commission to investigate alleged fraud at KMC.
Meanwhile, The Standard has confirmed that the case has been assigned to Justice Basirou V.P.Mahoney but no date was set for the hearing.
