Newly appointed deputy Governor of West Coast Region Musa Suso has told The Standard that he will continue working from where he stopped in 2017 when he was removed from the same position he held under the former regime. Mr Suso, who was reinstated this week, said he is very familiar with the office and the people of West Coast with whom he has very good relations from grassroots to senior levels. He added that this unique advantage will boost government’s desire to reconcile the people. “I think West Coast is very important and clearly the biggest region in size if not in population and it’s great opportunity for me to get back to serving the people on the agenda of The Gambia government which is aimed at serving the every day concern of the people. I want to thank President Barrow for the trust and I call on all for support and understanding. I have always been enthusiastic to work for the communities in whatever capacity whether I am in government or not. I have never stopped working with the people and I will continue to do that in the interest of the nation,” he concluded. Mr Suso, a former MP for the now proscribed Kombo North Constituency, is also the founder of the Suso Foundation, a non political development association based in Sukuta.]]>
