The National Unity Party has announced it will contest four constituencies in the coming National Assembly elections.
A statement from the party yesterday said after going through a rigorous process of scrutinising applicants for the country’s legislature, the NUP has approved the following names to contest on the party’s ticket in the parliamentary elections: Prof. Yerro Mballow- Upper Fulladu West, Ousman D. Jallow -Niamina West, Cheena Bah -Jokadu and Modou Njie -Old Yundum.
“Whiles we reaffirm our commitment to effecting a representative parliament in the interest of national development, we call on all Gambians to endorse these candidates as we lead in the path to unity towards a common good,” the NUP statement urged Gambians.
