The Office of President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have yesterday sent 20 protocol officers to the People’s Republic of China for training.
The 20-member team left Monday for Beijing to begin the training, which will last for two weeks.
In another development, our source informed said the presidential guard teams who were sent for training to countries including Mauritania, Senegal and Saudi Arabia are also in their second phase of training and will soon return to take up their duties currently being performed by Ecomig forces and the Police Intervention Unit.
