Gambian securities have arrested hundreds of people for violating the curfew orders imposed by the government.
The arrests were made under the police ‘Operation Save Our Soul’ campaign which is geared towards enforcing the Covid-19 regulations under the 21 days curfew.

Police spokesperson, Superintendent Lamin Njie said the arrests were executed by the Tourism Security Unit, Anti-Crime Unit and other security agents in Basse, Brikama, Central River Region and other parts of the country.
“Those arrested will be prosecuted before the courts. Some of the arrested were arraigned before the court on Friday and their prosecution will continue. The compliant rate is high and we thank Gambians for honouring the regulations,” he said.
