Musa Suso, the deputy governor for West Coast Region has called on political leaders to protect and safeguard the peace in the country.
“I am urging Hendry Gomez, Ousainu Darboe, Mamma Kandeh, Hamat Bah among all other political leaders including those whose names I did not mention to embrace stability and peace in the country because nothing can be done without the existence of peace and stability and they are the only ones who can maintain that in the country.”
He said the Gambia cannot afford to lose or compromise its existing peace and stability and the political leaders have key role to play in this crusade.
Suso made this remark during the Qtv Bantaba out and about programme on Tobaski day.
Mr Suso added that because of their influence, political leaders have leverage when it comes to preaching peace and tolerance and the Gambia needs those two commodities these days.
