While the Covid-19 pandemic is taking its course throughout the globe, most activities are put on hold including education.
However, a group of young Gambians have developed a robust E-learning platform in which the whole nation’s academic institutions can sign up to, and start benefitting straight away from all facilities that educational platforms can offer free of charge for 2 months.
Tutors and students can interact literally and visually through the platform.
The youths who are behind the platform are all inspired by their experiences gained from overseas universities website.

“Taking into consideration the socio-economic aspect of The Gambia and also the menace of the Covid -19, the team behind Schoolow has decided to offer the platform for free for a period of three months for all students and teachers, including private tutors to stay at home and continue delivering lectures and seminars via the platform. Schoolow is here to continue after the Covid-19 period to help digitize the Educational system in the country,” said Lamin Manneh, a member of the team.

Mr Manneh said the platform is already accessible online at www.schoolow.com.
“We are inviting all Gambians to visit, make inquiries and the Schoolow team will be more than happy to receive them,” he said.

He said the real time virtual classroom will include revolutionary drag and drop course creator, advance quiz &amp, assignment creator, class networking site, where issues can be discussed within students and with teachers, create private group for each class or subject and many more features.
