Mustapha Njie, the CEO of Taf holdings and Taf African Homes yesterday gave an inspiring lecture on the theme ‘Success’ at the on going annual Scholar Athletes Camp at the Independence stadium.
The real estate tycoon inspired the young campers with his own life story of rags to riches. At the end of his presentation Mr Njie announced a pleasant surprise to the camp with a pledge of D100, 000.
The camp continues. Scholar Athletes For Change (SAC) a charitable organization that aims to excel in both academics and sports, will start its annual summer camp at the Independence Stadium. The camp will run until August 4. It was founded nine years ago by Pierre Jallow a Gambian professional basketball player based in Finland, who together with SAC’S board of directors and members organized educative, and rewarding annual summer camps for children between the ages of 10 to 17, teaching them the basics of basketball , handball and football.
