Police are appealing for information after a man vanished after he flew out to Africa in March for a holiday. 69-year-old Michael Costain, from Powys, travelled to Gambia on March 8.
Michael, from Rhayader, was due to return back to the UK on March 20. However, he was not on his pre-booked flight back home.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it was believed he was staying in the Busumbala area of Western Gambia for two days. That was before leaving with the intention to head to Abene Village in Cassamance in the Southern part of Senegal, reports Wales Online.
A statement from the force said: “Michael has not been seen since and did not return to the UK on the flight he had pre-booked.” They are now appealing for anyone who has seen Michael since March 8 or who might have information that could help find him to get in touch. In the comments on the police appeal, one friend wrote: “Hope Mick is found safe and well, thinking of him, friends and family.”
