Our girls have arrived in Cape Coast for Saturday’s Under -17 world cup qualifier in which they will seek to eliminate Ghana, an assignment many described as a near impossible task. The girls lost 5-1 in Banjul prompting sugestions that they should be withdrawn from the competition befoe further damage is done to our already tattered football performance reputation. However the GFF, ever faithful to female football decided the girls must see through the tie for better or worse and have dispatched the team to Ghana yesterday.
Football House said in a statement that there were a few missing players who could make a difference in Ghana. If the girls pull this one, they will go down in history in a way no one else could imagine. Our prayers are with them.
