Athletics championship slated for May 22

The Gambia Athletics Association (GAA) has announced it will hold the national athletics championship on May 22 at the Independence Stadium. This is the most important activity of athletics in the Gambia with officials poised to build or rebuild the various national teams ahead of international events. The biggest such comes next month with the African athletics championship.
