By Modou Lamin Beyai Azerbaijan Premier League champions Qarabag FK are the latest to have joined in the long list of clubs interested in signing Gambian forward Muhamed Keita. The 26-year-old, who was in the United States to train with MLS side Minnesota United earlier this year, looks all but set to join the four-time Azerbaijan champions and turning down Minnesota’s overtures. Keita, who had a fall out with his parent club, Lech Poznan, is looking to end his nightmarish spell in Poland where he suffered racism and continually grew home sick. According to Norwegian newspaper, VG, terms have been agreed between the player and his new club while both clubs are locked in negotiations over a transfer amount. “We agreed my personal terms [and] now the club has to agree with Lech Poznan, then I will sign the contract and leave,” the former Stabæk loan player said from his home in Drammen. Keita, who is yet to be called up by the Scorpions, have played for the Norwegian U18, U21 and U23 teams. He has so far raked up 27 goals since turning professional in 2009 with Strømsgodset IF.]]>
