By Modou Lamin Beyai Gambia defender Omar Colley scored his first goal in the UEFA Europa League to help KRC Genk to a 5-2 win in their all-Belgian tie at KAA Gent on Thursday evening. Colley celebrated his goal against Gent at the Ghelamco Arena in front of Gambia national team coaches Sang Ndong and Mattar M’Boge, who kicked off their 10-day scouting tour of Europe in Belgium. Samuel Kalu levelled for Gent after Ruslan Malinovskyi’s low free-kick had given Genk the lead, but further goals from Scorpions captain Omar Colley, Tanzanian Mbwana Samatta and Jere Uronen put the visitors 4-1 up at half-time before Kalifa Coulibaly’s header reduced Gent’s deficit again with half an hour left, only for Samatta to grab his second and Genk’s fifth. Gent will now have to overturn their three-goal deficit when they travel to face Colley’s Genk at the Cristal Arena on March 16.]]>
