The countdown to the biggest combat of the year begins tomorrow Saturday at the Jarkarloo Center Stage near Senegambia. There, the two combatants for the Dec 23 grand combat, Hoyantan of Ecree Ndong Ceesay and Gambien of Modou Lo fans club from Senegal will start their bragging and state their ambition for the combat when they come face to face. They will contest the First Lady Fatoumatatta Barrow trophy.
There are however a dozen other wrestlers lined up to contest numerous prizes staged by other dignitaries on the same day at the Stadium. They include prizes staged by Papa Njie, Sheriff Tambedou, Omar Jallow OJ, Wally Seck, Kaira Kafo, Jattu Ndene Faal among others.
Organised by the Champion Sounds Promotion, the event on December 23 will be the biggest date in wrestling in the Gambia this year. Saturday’s face to face at Jarkallo will give us taste of what they day would be like, said Lamin Cham of Champion Sounds.
