Week Two of the GPU media tourney opens this afternoon with Foroyaa, 2 nil winners over GRTS last week, returning to face Star FM\TV at 5 PM.
Very little is known about the Star Group who are yet to kick the ball in the tourney but if their rhetoric is anything to go by, they are not taking this evening’s assignment lightly and Foroyaa will have to brace up for a tough fight.
However, buoyed by their starling start to the tourney, Foroyaa will be inspired to secure another three points to consolidate their grip on the top of the table in the group.
More excitement is in store on Saturday when The Point, which thrashed The Voice to stammer with a resounding 3-0 blow, will face The Standard, 1-0 winners over Paradise last week.
The Standard wasted a bagful of chances before the lone goal that secured the three points came late in the game.
However coach Hadrammeh Jah is delighted that his team can create chances but his boys cannot afford to misfire against a seemingly strong Point team with a gallery of goal merchants.
The two meet tomorrow morning in the first of the two matches scheduled for the day.
The second match features The Voice against Paradise, both looking for their first points in the tourney.
The week wraps up with GRTS meeting Start FM/TV, with the national broadcaster wounded from defeats last week.
