D-DAY FOR THE SCORPIONS—Gambia on a redemption cause

The national team, the Gallant Scorpions wrapped up yesterday ahead of this evening’s much anticipated friendly against with the Wild Beasts of the Central African Republic.
Though a friendly match, todays encounter could pass for an official qualifier given the hunger and passion in both camps to win and salvage much pride confidence to the their respective countries. The CAR, which is affected by conflict football, is the only unifying factor according coach Raoul Savoy. The Gambia too need the match badly to get over a period of hoplessness in international football.
