Promoted Gambian top-flight league side Fortune FC have completed the signing of Alfusainey Jatta, Abdoulie Manke, Tijan Marr and Matthew Jarju to the West Coast Region-based club.
The signing of the quartet, which took place at the club’s offices in Farato on Monday morning, saw Manke, Jarju and Marr all sign three-year deals with Jatta penning a two-year contract.
The club signed winger Abdoulie Manke and versatile midfielder Alfusainey Jatta from Gamtel Football Club while defender Matthew Jarju and attacking midfielder Tijan Marr were signed from Brufut United.
“We feel we have to reinforce and bring in new players to the team ahead of our debut campaign in the top-flight,” Fortune president Assan Ndure said.
“There will be some more new players that we will be adding to our already existing players to help bolster the squad as our aim is to do well in the first division and earn a respectable finish and position.”
Fortune, a former Nawettan team in Brikama, rose through the ranks from the lower echelons of Gambian football to secure promotion to the top-flight in less than three years.
The team is coached by former Samger gaffer Jane Joof, who guided the team to the Gambian First Division league.
