The leadership of the Gambia Democratic Congress GDC has flatly denied that they are part of the ongoing anti- Coalition government slogan chanting campaign, dubbed ‘Gambia Has Regretted’.
In a press release sent to The Standard, GDC said; “We learnt with serious concern, a rumour of an alleged involvement of the GDC in the printing and distribution of the widely circulated Gambia has regretted T-shirts.
The party is hereby strongly disassociating itself from the action and will like to affirm our quest towards the consolidation of our fragile democracy.
While we are committed to holding the government accountable to the public, the respect for rule of law and good governance remains sacrosanct to the core values of our party”.
