The Gambia Football Federation seems to be now serious about security in the administration of football. A newly revamped security sub-committee unveiled last week at Football House revealed the inclusion of credible former and serving security experts whose presence has signaled strong hopes for the future direction of security matters in football. One of them is Rtd Major Ebrima Kambi. Others include Captain Ngum, Commissioner Omar Darboe, Ansumana Jassey, WO2 Cham Gibba, Alagi Badjie, Salifu Touray, and Major Bintou Lowe as members. Lieutenant Colonel Musa Jammeh though still remains chairman of the committee.
At the inauguration Kambi praised the GFF President Lamin Kaba Bajo for the thoughtful appointments he spearheaded. He said the appointments are ‘challenging responsibilities to them but they will take it and live by it’.
”All of us are into Football and we will strive to help ourselves and help our country. We will be willing and resolute to stand to meeting up the expectations reposed on the team”, Kambi said.
