Press Release

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has learnt with dismay and consternation, a press release issued by the National Sports Council yesterday warning our members, partners and the public to be cautious in their dealings with the leadership of the Federation.

However, the Federation wishes to reaffirm its position to our members, partners and the public that our decision not to cooperate with the purported investigations and not recognising the suspension of our leadership is equally irreversible. Our position is based on the fact that the National Sports Council lacks the legitimacy to investigate our internal matters and thus we will not subject ourselves to an illegal process. We have nothing to hide because we have always met all our obligations including governance and all our accounts, audits and reports are intact.

The Chairman of the National Sports Council, Mr. Borry Darboe, is on a personal vendetta and witch-hunt. He is hereby formally warned that all those involved in attempting to tarnish the image of very credible and respectable people will eventually face the full.
