GTSC rewards customers

The Gambia Transport Services Company, (GTSC), which offers the largest road transportation with varied services on Thursday 25 of January 2018, awarded five “loyal customers” that have made more travels with the company in 2017 in a colorful ceremony held at the GTSC building in Kanifing.
The scheme dubbed ‘customer loyalty and patronage scheme’ brought customers from around the country who have received items ranging from bags of rice, cooking oil, tomato pastes to cans etc, with each winner receiving one bag of rice, two 2 gallons of cooking oil, one 1 bag of onion and 2 pots of tomatoes.

Speaking at the ceremony, the traffic manager GTSC Mr Babu Johm, gave a brief overview of the company.
“The company started operations with 48 buses and as I am speaking now, we are having 68 buses in the depot here. There is an addition because we started with small ways, but now that the ways are very large to us because of our committed customers,” he said, adding that without their customers they can’t be where they are today.

For his part, marketing manager of GTSC, Mr Fabuka Njaay, said GTSC will continue to live up to its promises and expectations of providing affordable and more reliable transport for people travelling across the length and breadth of the country.

He thanked the customers and highlighted that as part of their interactive marketing strategy, “these customers would be consulted by the company on regularly bases for their suggestions, input and insight in order to co-create value hence meeting customers need and requirements are critical for the long term survival and prosperity of GTSC.”

Other speakers included Mohammed Camara, winner of the Guinea Bissau service, Edrise Swarneh winner of the super express service, Muhammed Hydara, nuwari service and Abdoulie Gaye, winner of Dakar service, who said whenever he is travelling to Dakar, he uses the Dakar service simply because of its safety record, affordable and more reliable transport.

“I never sleep in a car but with Gambia Transport Services Company I sleep so freely and comfortably. I was never expecting to win anything with my travelling. I am going to be with them forever,” he said.
