Holy Trinity Youths secured their second title in a row beating St. Anthony’s Youths of Kololi 2-0 in the final of the annual Anointed Reigning Mighty Youths, ARMY football championship. The ARMY is a non-profit making youth organization, that consist of Christian youths from the Catholic Diocese of Banjul. The group was founded in February 2016, to promote education, youth development and to actively take part in the development of the Diocese of Banjul and the nation at large. One of the activities is an annual football tournament that brings youths from different parishes to play football. This year’s tournament, the 3rd edition, took place at Mariana International School in Bakau last weekend.

St. Charles Youths (Fajikunda)
Stella Maris Youths (Star of the Sea,Bakau), St. Anthony’s Youths (Kololi), St. Peter’s Youths (Lamin) and the Anglican Youths (Anglican Diocese of Banjul). This year’s tournament was supported by TK Motors, Gamcel, Royal Insurance LTD and M&A Bureau De Change. Certificates were awarded to all participating teams and sponsors of the event. Best player of tournament was awarded to St. Anthony’s Parish while the most disciplined team award went to Beacon Of Hope.
