The Gambia Government will formally release the much-awaited Janneh Commission report on the financial activities of former President Yahya Jammeh at a news conference today at 11:09 am at the Attorney General’s Chambers n Banjul.
According to Gambia Government spokesperson Ebrima Sankareh, the Gambia Government will also release its white paper; a 93-page dossier based on the findings and recommendations of the 1,600-page Janneh Commission Report.
The secretary general at the Office of the President, Mr Muhammed Jallow will deliver a brief statement while Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubacarr Baa Tambadou will lead the discussions.
The Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure, Ebrima Sillah, will equally participate in the press conference with journalists.
The highlight of the press conference will be the D100 million accrued from the proceeds of Yahya Jammeh’s cattle and domestic articles as well as the D1 billion from his forfeited landed properties.
